The wild look- 2019 Mascom Derby fashion show adopts a Safari themeWanting to let your wildest fashion sense gets noticed? You can don your animal themed outfits for the runway as part of the 2019 mascom fashion show.
This year the fashion show will happen as part of the mascom horse racing derby at Shashe Horse Track on April 20th.
Over the past few years, Mascom Derby Fashion Show proved to be a success in showcasing talent in Northern part of Botswana. This platform provides an opportunity for up - coming designers to showcase their work during the biggest horse racing event in Botswana.
In an effort to unearth Modelling and fashion design talent in the Northern region, Mascom hosted a workshop to train and share trade knowledge of the fashion industry in collaboration with ‘Fashion without borders’. The Fashion show is be part of the race day program and will feature 10 designers with amazing talents who will showcase 8-10 garments each. 20 models have been selected from the model workshop to showcase their talents The theme of the fashion show being “All Things Safari” inspired by the wild life, fauna and flora found in Maun, considered as the heart of tourism in Botswana. The theme is open to interpretation and we encourage the Mascom derby spectators to come dressed in their most adventurous outfits.
